” ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.’ ” Jeremiah 29:11

I went to put on my tennis shoes this evening, and found that someone whose feet are smaller then mine had worn them before me, and had cinched up the laces real tight to keep them on their tiny feet. It slowed my dash out of the house and I was not on my way. My plans halted!

As I smiled, sat, slowed down, and loosened all those laces (and tennies have many) I thought about how many times I had put on my Heavenly Father’s shoes, cinched up the laces real tight to fit my tiny feet, and worn them. Only to slow His dash and halt His plans?? No doubt! My Abba and I had a good laugh together as that thought gelled while I loosened the laces on my shoes. Imagine the laces He had to untangle and uncinch┬ábecause of me!

Have a Blessed week as you dash with Jesus into God’s fabulous plans, His gift of hope, and His amazing future- in your own shoes!

  1. Jesus is the Author and I am so blessed to do this ministry with Him! Thank you for your kind comment! And yes, God’s shoes need to stay on His feet don’t they! :)
